David Leitch directed and Drew Pearce wrote The Fall Guy, a 2024 American action comedy film loosely based on the 1980s TV series.
In the movie, we see that after leaving the business one year earlier, battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears. As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.
I have a serious question about the movie. Can anyone explain how Tom Ryder lost his phone?
I mean, when he realized that the second stuntman was dead, he said, “Stop the video” and snatched the mobile.
The first thing a normal person will do is delete the video. Instead, he called the producer, Gail Meyer. Let’s assume that he kept the video to frame someone, as the producer Gail suggested. So, how can he lose the phone that has a crime video on it?
In the above picture, we see Tom Ryder having a conversation with producer Gail Meyer. Gail told him not to worry and that she would take care of the situation. Then they planned to frame Colt Seavers. Therefore, the phone should become the most valuable thing to the actor.
But later, we saw that he lost his phone, and his personal assistant, Alma Milan, found it.
I mean, seriously? You committed a crime; there’s a video of it that can be deleted with a few clicks, and instead of destroying the evidence, you call someone close! When that person suggested framing someone with that video, you lost it! How careless can you be?
Other than this, I enjoyed the movie very much.

The possible answer is: As soon as Ryder called Gail after killing Henry, he sent her the footage, and then he became careless, thinking his job was done, and therefore “lost” his phone.
